Steve is equally passionate about helping people in both their private and professional lives and because of his vast business experience is keenly aware that business coaching can have a positive influence on the performance of individuals, teams and the organisation..He specialised in supply chain management, getting a BSc from Cranfield University and the Institute of Logistics in 1996. He was awarded the Student of the Year award, collecting this from Princess Anne at a ceremony in London.
During his time in these fields he was passionate about developing people and helping them reach their full potential. However, after such a long time in the same profession, Steve decided to rest his ladder against a different wall and qualified as a Life, Business and Executive Coach. Having had a previous association with Alan Chatting and a shared interest in helping others they decided to create CSP Coaching. Steve specialises in helping clients overcome mental health problems, such as depression and anxiety, using a combination of coaching techniques and NLP. He is a certified Master Practitioner of NLP.
As well as being a coach, Steve is currently a voluntary Chairman for the Youth Offending Team, helping young first time offenders stop re-offending.
Steve is the Vice-Chairman of Plymouth & District Mind, the mental health charity that assists its members on the road to recovery.
In March 2009, Steve trekked to Machu Picchu in Peru in aid of the charity The Mental Health Foundation, a cause that is very close to his heart, raising £3,000.
Steve is a well known writer on the subject of mental health and his first book 'Insiders: Outsiders - Personal Journeys Through Depression' is available from many online retailers, book stores and from this website.
